Berenberg analyst Kerry Holford upgraded Eli Lilly to buy and raised her price target to $1,400, implying almost 25% upside, backing the drugmaker to extend its lead in the fast-growing obesity market. Holford said the firm's latest return-on-R&D-investment analysis confirms Lilly's track record of best-in-class returns and that she sees upside to its 2026 guidance. She argued the external pipeline investment fueled by Lilly's obesity success remains underestimated, noting the company has committed about $60 billion across more than 25 deals this year. Holford said Zepbound and Mounjaro are established leaders in obesity and diabetes, and expects the imminent diabetes approval of oral GLP-1 drug Foundayo to unlock significant demand, aided by the Medicare Bridge program. She also cited recent acquisitions that diversify the pipeline, including the roughly $4 billion purchase of AtaiBeckley, which adds psychedelic assets targeting mental health, and the $8 billion acquisition of Centessa, which takes Lilly into sleep-wake disorders such as narcolepsy. Holford said Lilly's premium valuation is justified: the stock trades at 23.4 times 2027 earnings versus a global peer average of 13.6 times, but she argued its superior growth, pipeline breadth and research productivity warrant a more significant premium.
Lobe Sciences to Present Low-Dose L-130 Clinical Data at Neuropsychiatric Summit
Lobe Sciences Ltd. announced that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dr. Frederick D. Sancilio will present clinical and preclinical data for Conjugated Psilocin, or L-130, at the 9th Neuropsychiatric Drug Development Summit, held September 15-17, 2026 in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Sancilio's presentation, titled "Reimagining Psychedelic Therapeutics for Daily Outpatient Use: Advancing Low-Dose Psilocin Beyond the Hallucinogenic Paradigm," is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, September 16 in the summit's preclinical and translational track. The presentation sets out the case for patented L-130 as a candidate suited to daily outpatient dosing rather than the supervised in-clinic administration that psychedelic-class candidates typically require, covering the compound's formulation characteristics as a patented salt of psilocin, the active moiety itself rather than a prodrug, together with first-in-human results in ten subjects showing consistent oral pharmacokinetics and preclinical findings on daily low-dose administration. Lobe will also exhibit throughout the three-day summit, which brings together senior discovery, translational, clinical, regulatory and business development leaders from large pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies and investors active in neuropsychiatric drug development. L-130 is initially being developed for cluster headache, with co-development programs underway for PTSD, substance use disorder, generalized anxiety disorder and other neuropsychiatric disorders, while the company is also advancing S-100 for sickle cell disease, with Phase 3 clinical development anticipated to commence in mid-2027.

Strata Mental Health Wins Compass Pathways Grant for COMP360 Provider Training
Strata Mental Health Solutions announced it has been awarded one of the five U.S. healthcare provider training grants from Compass Pathways to develop U.S. health care provider training programs for COMP360, Compass' investigational psilocybin treatment, if approved. Compass has reported positive results from two Phase 3 trials of COMP360, with its NDA submission expected to be complete in the fourth quarter of 2026 under a rolling submission and FDA review pathway, and commercial launch expected in the first half of 2027. Under the grant, Strata will develop provider training programs for the multi-hour, multidisciplinary treatment model used in clinical development, taught by clinical faculty with direct experience in the COMP360 clinical development program. The grant-funded training is one component of Strata's broader implementation platform, which also includes certification, site-readiness consultation built to exceed anticipated REMS requirements, and ongoing case-based supervision and clinic support. Strata's founders previously worked with Compass on the development of the provider training program for the COMP360 clinical trials.
