NVIDIA CorporationSecondary marketplace for used Nvidia GPUs may cannibalize new GPU sales, especially for older H100/A100 models.

Compute Exchange has launched a secondary marketplace for Nvidia data-center GPUs, expanding beyond reserved compute capacity to connect buyers with used, refurbished, and OEM-surplus equipment. The platform, co-founded by DRW's Don Wilson and Suna Said of Woodside AI, originally focused on reserved GPU capacity across more than 100 providers and now adds a hardware marketplace that does not take ownership of the equipment, instead facilitating direct transactions between verified counterparties. Demand is concentrated around established H100 and A100 systems rather than the latest Blackwell accelerators, with requests ranging from hundreds to tens of thousands of GPUs. Used equipment can sell for 40% to 60% below original manufacturer suggested retail price, while refurbished hardware commands higher prices and usually includes a limited warranty. The new product complements sister company Silicon Data, a real-time GPU pricing firm also led by Compute Exchange CEO Carmen Li.
