Constellation Energy is leveraging a diversified 55-gigawatt generation fleet to support long-term growth and meet rising clean electricity demand. Following its acquisition of Calpine, the fleet spans nuclear, natural gas, oil, geothermal, hydro, wind, and solar, producing nearly 10% of the nation's clean electricity. The company plans nearly 10 gigawatts of new capacity, will restart the 835-megawatt Crane plant to serve Microsoft's AI-driven demand, and has submitted nearly 5,000 megawatts of new nuclear uprates, natural gas, and battery storage projects into PJM's interconnection queue. Capital expenditures are set at $5.7 billion in 2026 and $4.7 billion in 2027 to upgrade plants and extend asset life. Constellation Energy's trailing-12-month return on equity stands at 16.81%, well above the industry average of 7.15%.
