Construction has begun on the Pedemontana Piemontese highway in northern Italy, a project designed to improve connectivity across eastern Piedmont. Webuild and its subsidiary Cossi Costruzioni are executing the €284 million contract awarded by ANAS in May 2023. The 15.4-kilometer section will link the A4 Turin–Milan and A26 motorways between Masserano and Ghemme, featuring six viaducts, six overpasses, six underpasses, four interchanges, and toll infrastructure. The project is expected to create about 200 direct and indirect jobs and involves dozens of local suppliers. Webuild is also engaged in ten other infrastructure developments in northern Italy, including the Brenner Base Tunnel and the Terzo Valico dei Giovi–Genoa rail line.
