Continental reported second-quarter net income of 274 million euros, a 45.9 percent decline from a year ago, mainly attributable to the spin-off of Aumovio. Earnings per share dropped to 1.37 euros from 2.53 euros, while the adjusted operating result rose to 570 million euros from 422 million euros. Consolidated sales fell 9.1 percent to 4.4 billion euros, largely due to the sale of the Original Equipment Solutions business area in early February 2026, though organic sales slipped just 0.3 percent. Following the agreement to sell ContiTech, the company’s outlook now covers only its tire business, with full-year continuing operations sales expected between 13.2 billion and 14.2 billion euros and an adjusted EBIT margin of 12.0 to 13.5 percent.
