Shares of CoreWeave and Super Micro Computer jumped to their highest levels since June on August 12, 2026, a day after both companies delivered upbeat forecasts that signaled booming demand for AI computing capacity. CoreWeave rose more than 19%, and Super Micro climbed more than 13%. CoreWeave raised its forecasts for annual revenue, adjusted operating profit, and capital spending, with its revenue backlog rising to $104.2 billion in the second quarter from $99.4 billion three months earlier, not even counting more than $25 billion in new commitments signed early in the current quarter. Super Micro forecast fiscal 2027 revenue above Wall Street estimates, and its fourth-quarter gross margin of 17.5% beat both its preliminary estimate of 15% to 17% and its original forecast of 8.2% to 8.4%. More than seven brokerages raised price targets on CoreWeave, and hedge fund ownership of both stocks increased in the first quarter of 2026.
