Covestro AG reported a net profit of 120 million euros for the first half of 2026, reversing a loss of 219 million euros a year earlier. Group EBITDA rose 64.4 percent to 669 million euros, driven by significantly improved margins from higher selling prices and lower raw material costs that more than offset increased energy expenses. Sales slipped 1.9 percent to 6.729 billion euros, weighed down by negative currency effects and lower volumes. The company now expects full-year EBITDA to be significantly above the prior year, a stronger outlook than its earlier guidance of results around the prior-year level.
