Summary · why it matters

Craneware shares fell roughly 24% after the Edinburgh-based healthcare software group warned that revenue for the year ending June 2027 is now expected to be around $185 million, roughly in line with its annual recurring revenue base. The reset follows a broadly flat 2026 financial year, in which revenue came in at $206 million versus $205.7 million previously, adjusted EBITDA rose 3% to $67.1 million, the adjusted EBITDA margin improved to 33%, and statutory pretax profit rose 7% to $25.8 million. Annual recurring revenue barely moved at $185 million, while net revenue retention dropped to 100% from 107%. Management blamed growing regulatory uncertainty and increasingly complex requirements from pharmaceutical manufacturers in the US 340B drug-pricing market, which slowed the conversion of identified savings opportunities into transaction revenue. A July cyberattack, disclosed after the financial year ended, added a second blow: hackers gained unauthorized access to part of Craneware's data environment and extracted data, and although core operations continued without disruption and specialists confirmed systems are secure, the company is still determining what data was affected and notifying customers and regulators. Craneware finished the year with $54.8 million of cash and $156 million of undrawn borrowing facilities, and said it has adopted a more cautious planning basis for the next three years, including a comprehensive cost review, with FY27 now effectively a transition year.

Guidewire Software Ends Fiscal 2026 With ARR Up 19% to $1.24 Billion

Guidewire Software closed fiscal 2026 with annual recurring revenue of $1.24 billion on a constant-currency basis, up 19% year over year and above the high end of management's guidance. Fully ramped ARR grew 22%, the fourth consecutive year it outpaced reported ARR growth, while total cloud ARR rose 35% and accounted for 84% of overall ARR. The company ended the year with 105 customers generating more than $5 million each in fully ramped ARR, up from 86 a year earlier, and subscription revenues climbed 37% to $916 million. Annual gross ARR attrition stayed below 1.5%, with attrition among core systems customers below 1%. For fiscal 2027, Guidewire expects ARR of $1.45-$1.46 billion, about 18% constant-currency growth at the midpoint, with more than half of projected net new ARR already under contract, though management expects attrition to normalize after fiscal 2026's unusually low level and a smaller share of backlog to convert to ARR next year.

Canopy Joins Oracle Partner Program to Bring AI Device Supervision to Simphony POS

Canopy announced it has joined Oracle's enhanced partner program, giving the Alpharetta, Georgia-based provider of AI supervision for unsupervised devices a route to deliver remote device monitoring, management and AI supervision for multi-location restaurant and hospitality operators. Canopy has already implemented and configured its platform on the Oracle Simphony POS platform, delivering monitoring, management and automation purpose-built for Simphony, so operators running Simphony POS and KDS get a single view of that system alongside every other connected device in their restaurant technology estate and can service those systems remotely without remoting into individual devices. Through the program, operators gain centralized remote device monitoring and management, proactive alerting and issue resolution, cross-estate operational visibility and customizable KPIs, and structured data for AI readiness. Canopy Founder and CEO Steve Latham said the collaboration starts with one view of the Oracle Simphony Cloud platform alongside every other device in the restaurant, opening the door to agentic service operations where AI catches and fixes problems proactively rather than after a customer reports them. Tim Brown, Group Vice President of Global Solution Engineering at Oracle Restaurants, said the partnership provides Simphony customers a dedicated platform for system observability, control and access to custom configured automated workflows. By joining the program, Canopy has opportunities to achieve Oracle designations, including Oracle Expertise, that can validate its skills and capabilities around specific products, services, industries and geographies.

Wolters Kluwer Tax & Accounting has introduced its CCH tax and accounting brand in Belgium, making the country the first continental European market to adopt the portfolio.
