Cytokinetics IncQ2 loss narrower than expected, revenue beat, Myqorzo sales strong, and raised guidance

Cytokinetics reported a second-quarter 2026 loss of $1.50 per share, narrower than the Zacks Consensus Estimate of a loss of $1.63 per share, while revenue of $28.6 million beat the $20 million consensus. Net product revenue from newly launched Myqorzo was $25.3 million, with U.S. sales of $23.0 million and initial European distributor purchases of $2.3 million in Germany. More than 700 U.S. prescribers had written Myqorzo by June 30, and the drug exited the quarter with over 40% new-to-brand prescription share in the cardiac myosin inhibitor category. The company raised its full-year 2026 GAAP R&D and SG&A expense guidance to $860–$890 million and ended the quarter with approximately $1.7 billion in cash following a May public offering that generated about $760.1 million in net proceeds.
