The launch underlines MACOM's push into 448 Gbps-per-lane and PCIe 6.0/7.0 ecosystems, aiming to become a core supplier for next-generation AI infrastructure and advanced telecom networks. The ECOC announcement closely echoes MACOM's OFC 2026 demonstrations, where it highlighted 3.2 Tbps optical transmit solutions and PCIe 6.0/7.0 technologies. MACOM's narrative projects $2.1 billion revenue and $605.5 million earnings by 2029, requiring 24.4% yearly revenue growth and about a $428.7 million earnings increase from $176.8 million today, while the most optimistic analysts already expected about US$2.7 billion in revenue and US$871.2 million in earnings by 2029.
