Danske Bank A/SQ2 net profit rose and 2026 profit outlook raised

Danske Bank reported a higher second-quarter net profit and raised its fiscal 2026 profit outlook. Net profit for the quarter was 6.20 billion Danish kroner, up from 5.45 billion kroner a year ago, with earnings per share of 7.6 kroner compared to 6.6 kroner last year. Total income rose to 15.157 billion kroner from 13.985 billion kroner, driven by net interest income of 9.332 billion kroner and net fee income of 4.058 billion kroner. The bank now projects a 2026 net profit in the range of 23 billion to 25 billion kroner, up from the initial guidance of 22 billion to 24 billion kroner, and expects total income somewhat above 59 billion kroner. Loan impairment charges are forecast at around 1 billion kroner, reflecting continued strong credit quality.
