HPE also got a boost from strong earnings at Oracle, which earlier this month announced a partnership to deploy HPE's routing and switching platforms across all of its data centers as it scales AI infrastructure; Oracle's remaining performance obligations grew $209B in the first quarter to $664B, including more than $30B in additional AI cloud contracts. Dell received an Outperform rating and a $640 price target as RBC Capital Markets initiated coverage, with analyst David Paige noting Dell exited 2Q27 with $95bn in AI server backlog and converted roughly $132bn into orders over the last twelve months. RBC also initiated coverage on HP with a Sector Perform rating and a $33 target, citing AI PC adoption, edge computing and data privacy needs, and noting HP is targeting AI PC shipments of 60-70% by FY27, up from about 45% in 3Q26.
