Dell Technologies reported second-quarter earnings per share of $7.04, beating the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $4.97 by 41.65%, and marking its 18th earnings beat in the past 20 quarters. The company achieved record revenue, record AI server revenue, record traditional server and networking revenue, record storage revenue, and record operating income, with overall revenue jumping 89% year over year. Traditional server and networking revenue surged 122%, while AI-optimized server revenue doubled. Management raised its outlook, citing expectations that AI will account for 75% of all data center demand by 2030, and analysts project revenue and earnings per share will double again by 2028. Dell shares have held their 50-day moving average since February, showing relative strength compared to AI peers.
