A source from Delta Electronics Thailand Public Company Limited, or DELTA, revealed that the government's establishment of a national semiconductor board will help DELTA expand its domestic supplier network, enhance cost competitiveness, and reduce reliance on imported components, while better managing geopolitical and supply chain risks. As for the separate electricity tariff for data centers, it will not significantly impact DELTA's costs because its factories are classified as large enterprises, but it will accelerate demand for energy-saving technologies, for which DELTA has comprehensive power management and cooling solutions ready to support. Regarding rising printed circuit board prices, the company has already built up inventory and entered into forward purchase contracts, while diversifying its supplier base to mitigate raw material risks and manage costs. Meanwhile, sustained growth in AI demand is beginning to affect prices of key components such as DRAM and SSD. DELTA continues to expand production and research and development in Thailand, investing in smart technologies and workforce development to fully support data center investments and the regional AI ecosystem.
