Intuitive Surgical Targets ASCs With Refurbished XiR Robots

Intuitive Surgical is making ambulatory surgery centers its new growth engine, placing 27 da Vinci systems at U.S. ASCs in the second quarter, 20 of them refurbished XiR platforms priced below the flagship model. Management said the increase reflected its recent focus on the ASC segment and described the placements as part of broader greenfield expansion.
