BAE Systems, Inc. has appointed the Honorable Derek Kilmer to its Board of Directors. Kilmer currently serves as senior vice president of U.S. Program and Policy for The Rockefeller Foundation, leading its economic opportunity agenda and policy teams. He previously represented Washington's Sixth Congressional District for six terms in the U.S. House of Representatives, chairing the Select Committee on the Modernization of Congress and serving on the Appropriations, Armed Services, and Science, Space & Technology committees. His background also includes roles as a state senator and state representative in Washington, work in regional economic development, and consulting at McKinsey & Company. Kilmer holds a bachelor's degree from Princeton University and a doctorate from the University of Oxford.
