DigitalBridge Group, Inc. has announced the opening of its Tokyo office, led by Soichiro Suda, who joined the firm as Managing Director in January 2026. The move strengthens the firm's ability to originate investments, support portfolio companies, and deepen relationships with local partners in Japan. DigitalBridge's Japan portfolio includes Nippon Gateway Infrastructure, an enterprise-focused data center platform formed in partnership with JEXI and anchored by facilities acquired from NEC Corporation, as well as JTOWER and Vantage Data Centers. Suda brings over 30 years of experience, having previously served as Chief Investment Officer at Japan Extensive Infrastructure and held roles at Macquarie Asset Management and Mitsubishi Corporation. The expansion comes as Japan's government targets ¥101.6 trillion in public and private investment in AI and semiconductors through 2040.
