In the foreign exchange market on the evening of the 30th Tokyo time, the dollar briefly plunged to the lower 162 yen range. The dollar started moving around 7 p.m., falling from the lower 163 yen range to as low as 162.28 yen at one point, and has since been trading in the upper 162 yen range.
