Donnelley Financial Solutions rolled out AI Document Translation and AI Document Summaries inside Venue, its virtual data room for deal teams, on September 14. The tools translate documents across more than 130 languages and generate shareable summaries of PDFs and Office files without the material leaving Venue's secure walls. The launch follows a second quarter in which Donnelley Financial Solutions reported net sales of $224.2 million, up 2.8% from $218.1 million a year earlier, with software solutions posting a record $99.4 million, a 7.8% jump that lifted software's share of total revenue to 44.3% from 42.3%. Adjusted EBITDA climbed to $82.3 million, a margin of 36.7% and about 170 basis points wider than the prior year, while free cash flow rose 18.4% to $61.2 million, and the company bought back 763,451 shares for about $34.7 million. Print and distribution net sales fell 15.0% to $34.6 million, and third-quarter guidance calls for total net sales of just $175 million to $185 million with an adjusted EBITDA margin of 26% to 28%, well below the 36.7% just delivered. Donnelley Financial Solutions also named Ken Napolitano as its new Chief Revenue Officer during the quarter.
