DoorDash, Inc. Class A Common StockIntegration with Shopify enables DoorDash to add local retailers, expanding its marketplace and driving order growth.
DoorDash is deepening its push into retail by integrating with Shopify, allowing independent merchants with physical stores to easily list their products on the DoorDash marketplace. The integration, announced Tuesday, lets small and medium-sized businesses add a new sales channel through the Shopify app store without separate onboarding or manual catalog uploads, automatically syncing inventory so what customers see on DoorDash matches what is on the shelf. The move targets local retailers as a growth category and puts them in front of millions of DoorDash shoppers, with same-day demand turning into sales managed inside Shopify. DoorDash has been expanding beyond restaurant delivery for years, now connecting tens of thousands of national retail stores and seeing 30% of monthly active users order from non-restaurant categories.
