DoubleVerify shares surged 12.9% after the digital ad verification company agreed to be acquired by Nielsen Holdings in an all-cash deal with an enterprise value of approximately $2.15 billion. Nielsen will pay $13.60 per share for DoubleVerify. The companies said combining DoubleVerify's MRC-accredited quality signals with Nielsen's cross-screen audience measurement will create a single currency scoring media on both audience delivery and environment quality. The acquisition was announced after DoubleVerify reported a 3% year-over-year increase in second-quarter revenue to $193.8 million. Upon the deal's close, Providence Equity Partners will conclude its 11.8% investment in the company.
