In New York, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 506.93 points to 51,711.65, marking a second consecutive decline. The S&P 500 dropped 90.66 points to 7,408.30, and the Nasdaq Composite lost 553.21 points to 25,137.69. Worries over the Middle East weighed on sentiment, while earnings from Alphabet and Tesla were sold off. The yield on the 10-year US Treasury note rose 0.024 to 4.692 percent. WTI crude oil futures gained 5.36 dollars to 92.19 dollars a barrel. Gold futures fell 101.7 dollars to 4,050.2 dollars an ounce. The VIX index climbed 2.06 to 18.70. Yen-denominated Nikkei 225 futures in Chicago were down 955 yen from the Osaka exchange close at 65,395 yen, while dollar-denominated futures were down 910 yen at 65,440 yen.
