Dr. Kongkiat Opaswongkarn, founder and executive chairman of Asia Plus Group Holdings Public Company Limited, or ASP, has announced his retirement effective September 30, 2026, after serving as executive chairman for more than 20 years. He will also step down from the boards of the company and all its subsidiaries. Dr. Kongkiat founded Asset Plus Securities Public Company Limited, which later merged with ABN AMRO Asia Securities Public Company Limited to become the present-day ASP. Mr. Chalee Sophonpanich, chairman of ASP, expressed gratitude to Dr. Kongkiat for leading the company to success and establishing it as one of the industry's leading firms, adding that ASP is executing its succession plan to ensure a smooth and seamless transition.
