DriveNets announced the expansion of its AI Fabric portfolio with two new high-capacity platforms, the DriveNets 2600SL and 2601S, designed for large-scale AI infrastructures with hundreds of thousands of XPUs. Based on Broadcom's Tomahawk 6 ASIC, the platforms deliver a total capacity of 102.4 terabits per second across 64 ports of 1.6 terabits per second, with industry analysts expecting such ports to make up the majority of new AI ports deployed by 2027. The platforms will ship in the third quarter of 2026 in air-cooled and liquid-cooled configurations, with the 2600SL offering a true 100% liquid-cooled design. DriveNets says the new additions maximize infrastructure utilization and power efficiency on any AI accelerator, supporting flexible radix options and low latency for demanding cluster scales. The company also highlighted full-stack performance optimizations across NIC drivers, kernel, and Collective Communications Library, as well as its AI Cluster Orchestrator for lifecycle management.
