Amazon.com IncAWS growth faster and bigger than expected, boosting Amazon's cloud business.

Eagle Capital Management said Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform are growing faster and will be even bigger than previously thought, but warned the industry structure has worsened. The firm, which owns positions in all three, said competition and additional capacity across AI labs, hyperscalers, and semiconductors will eventually create winners and losers. Amazon.com closed at $259.45 per share on August 18, 2026, with a market capitalization of $2.8 trillion, and reported first quarter 2026 revenue up 17% year-over-year to $181.5 billion. Eagle also said Amazon's retail business should benefit more than brick-and-mortar peers from advertising, consumer search improvements, and warehouse robotics.
