Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang said the company expects the volume of chips it ships and sells to almost double in 2027 over 2026, with the next platform, Vera Rubin, playing a key part. Vera Rubin is now in full production and Nvidia expects it to be the fastest ramp of any product in the company's history. According to Nvidia, Vera Rubin delivers nearly $40 billion of income opportunity per gigawatt of AI infrastructure, against $25 billion for Blackwell. Over the past 90 days, analysts have raised their consensus fiscal 2028 earnings forecast to nearly $16 a share from $13, with 39 upward revisions and no downgrades, while Nvidia's supply commitments have risen to $279 billion, much of it tied to securing memory and other components for Vera Rubin. The next challenge is whether Vera Rubin can achieve the exceptionally rapid acceleration management expects.
