Mr. Ekniti Nitithanprapas, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, has ordered government agencies to urgently reduce loan interest rates for SME entrepreneurs to the lowest possible level as quickly as possible, in order to ease burdens and increase liquidity for the business sector. He also received a blue book compiling five key policy proposals from the Thai SME Confederation at the THAI MSME FORUM 2026, which was attended by over 1,400 participants. The proposals cover creating market opportunities, access to funding, use of technology and innovation, fair regulatory reform, and readiness for the future economy. The Thai SME Confederation proposed making MSME Plus a national agenda so that the government prioritizes small entrepreneurs in every dimension.
