Acquisition closed at $210 cash per share, a premium to market price.

Video game giant Electronic Arts has closed its $55 billion sale to Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund PIF, investment firm Silver Lake Partners, and Affinity Partners, run by Jared Kushner. The acquisition is the largest-ever buyout funded by private equity. EA stockholders will receive $210 in cash per share, and the company's stock is no longer trading publicly. CEO Andrew Wilson said the new owners would invest boldly and accelerate innovation, while PIF's Turqi Alnowaiser pledged heavy investment in growth, including AI in game development. Critics have raised concerns over data misuse and human rights issues tied to Saudi ownership.
