Tesla IncElon Musk warns US needs AI and robots to avoid bankruptcy, implying increased demand for Tesla's AI and robotics products.

Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, warned that the United States is heading toward bankruptcy due to soaring public debt, stating there is a 1,000% chance the country will go bankrupt without a productivity revolution from AI and robots. US public debt currently stands at about 39.6 trillion dollars, and the government ran a budget deficit of roughly 1.37 trillion dollars in the first nine months of fiscal year 2026, while interest on the public debt exceeds 1 trillion dollars per year, more than the defense budget. Musk also warned that the dollar will become worthless if the trend continues, with data from the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis showing that 100 dollars in 2026 has the purchasing power of only 11.61 dollars in 1970. Meanwhile, Ray Dalio, founder of Bridgewater Associates, warned that the US is entering a debt cycle where the government must borrow new money to pay interest, and Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, warned of the risk of a bond market crisis if debt and deficits are not controlled.
