The Energy Policy Administration Committee has resolved to reduce the ex-refinery price of high-speed diesel by 2.40 baht per litre, effective from 24 July to 15 August 2026. The measure will be funded by surplus refinery margins from the first half of July 2026, estimated at approximately 3.892 billion baht, to subsidise discounts for B0, B7, and B20 diesel. Energy Minister Ekanat Prompan stated that the measure aims to ease the cost of living and reduce the burden on the Oil Fuel Fund, while ensuring fairness for all parties and without affecting refinery operations.
