Eni S.p.A.Q2 earnings missed estimates despite strong production growth.

Eni reported second-quarter 2026 adjusted earnings of $1.76 per American Depository Receipt, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $1.90 by 7.4% but rising 122.8% from the year-ago quarter. Quarterly revenues of $26.35 billion rose 21.5% year over year and surpassed the consensus estimate of $24 billion by 9.8%, supported by higher commodity realizations, production growth, and stronger segment profitability. Total hydrocarbon production increased 7% to 1,789 thousand barrels of oil equivalent per day, with liquids output up 1% and natural gas output up 14%. The company raised its 2026 underlying production growth forecast to around 5% from 3-4%, increased adjusted cash flow guidance to €15 billion, and expanded its share-repurchase program to €3.4 billion while maintaining a planned dividend of €1.10 per share.
