Eastern Power Group Public Company LimitedBondholders approved waiver preventing default on debt restructuring, reducing immediate default risk.

Bondholders of Eastern Power Group Public Company Limited, or EP, approved agenda item 1 at the fourth bondholder meeting of 2569 on 24 August 2569, granting a waiver so that the postponement of bond redemption dates and interest rate adjustments, which may constitute debt restructuring with total debt exceeding 500 million baht, will not be deemed an event of default under the terms and conditions for the EP253A, EP259A and EP263A bond series, with approval votes of 94.6800 percent, 96.4481 percent and 98.3300 percent respectively. However, consideration of agenda items 2 and 3 for the EP259A bond series could not proceed because bondholder attendance did not meet the quorum required under the terms and conditions, which stipulates attendance of no less than 66 percent of all outstanding bonds. Attendance was 59.6117 percent for the EP253A series, 61.1482 percent for the EP259A series and 49.8511 percent for the EP263A series. The meeting chairman therefore adjourned the meeting and postponed the fourth bondholder meeting of 2569 to 7 September 2569 at 2.00 p.m. in a hybrid format at the Miracle Grand Hotel on Vibhavadi Rangsit Road and via electronic media, to consider the original agenda items.
