Eupraxia Pharmaceuticals Inc. Common StockQ2 net loss widened to $14.5 million from $8.7 million on higher trial and G&A costs.

Eupraxia Pharmaceuticals released new Phase 1b/2a RESOLVE trial data on August 13 showing that moderate to severe odynophagia fell from 62% of patients at baseline to 25% by weeks 24 through 52 in the highest-dose cohorts, with no patient reporting severe pain at either checkpoint. Moderate to severe dysphagia in Cohorts 7 to 9 dropped from 77% at baseline to 25% at both the 24-week and 52-week marks, while severe cases fell from 31% to zero, and the share of patients with no odynophagia at all rose from 15% at baseline to half by week 52. More than 130 patients have received EP-104GI or placebo across over 2,000 injection sites with no treatment-emergent or procedure-related serious adverse events, and Eupraxia presented EREFS and EoEHSS data at Digestive Disease Week on May 5 and May 6 showing more injections tracked with better endoscopic findings. The company held $52.4 million in cash and $81.2 million in short-term investments as of June 30, which management says funds operations into the second half of 2028. The data still come from the open-label, uncontrolled portion of RESOLVE, with only eight patients in the week-52 odynophagia and dysphagia analysis and the Cohort 9 remission finding resting on three patients; the randomized, placebo-controlled Phase 2b trial is recruiting with interim results not due until the fourth quarter of 2026. Eupraxia's net loss widened to $14.5 million in the second quarter of 2026 from $8.7 million a year earlier, tied to doubling the size of the RESOLVE Part 2 trial and higher general and administrative costs, and on July 13 the company said it would shift operations from Victoria to a two-hub structure split between Vancouver and Seattle, with Amanda Malone stepping down as Chief Scientific and Operating Officer. Hedge fund holders rose from 19 in the prior quarter to 24 most recently, ahead of the Phase 2b interim data due in the fourth quarter of 2026.
