Tencent Holdings LtdTencent signs $2.94B DRAM supply deal with CXMT, securing server memory for its data centers.

Chinese memory chipmaker ChangXin Memory Technologies has signed a long-term supply agreement with Tencent Holdings worth more than 20 billion yuan, or $2.94 billion, ahead of its planned blockbuster stock market debut, according to three people with knowledge of the matter. The deal covers several years of DRAM chip supply for servers, with two sources saying it spans up to three years and a third saying up to five years. The previously unreported agreement comes after CXMT received approval in May for an initial public offering on the STAR Market aiming to raise 29.5 billion yuan, and represents a major endorsement of the Hefei-based firm, which is also in discussions with other major Chinese internet companies on similar collaborations. CXMT, the world's fourth-largest DRAM maker with about 7.7% market share in 2025, saw first-quarter revenue hit 50.8 billion yuan, up 700% year-on-year, and is aggressively expanding production capacity to double its DRAM wafer output to approximately 600,000 wafers per month.
