Expeditors International plans to lay off 230 workers this year as part of a restructuring of its global technology department. The layoffs will begin on August 8 at the company's headquarters and four other offices in the Seattle suburbs and continue through the remainder of the year, according to a notice filed with the Washington state Department of Employment Security. Expeditors, the fifth largest U.S.-based logistics provider by gross revenue, reported a 3% decline in 2025 revenue to $2.86 billion, while operating income fell 17% to $251 million and net income dropped to $200.7 million from $235.9 million a year earlier. The company noted that salary and other expenses increased 6%.
