Five Below IncEntry into Puerto Rico and strong sales growth indicate expanding customer demand.
Five Below plans to open its first stores in Puerto Rico in the second half of 2027, marking its entry into a new market as its fleet surpasses 2,000 locations. The retailer reported second-quarter fiscal 2026 net sales of $1.26 billion, up 22.9% from $1.03 billion a year earlier, with comparable sales rising 14.1%. The company ended the quarter with 2,022 stores across 46 states, having opened 52 net new locations during the period. Management described Puerto Rico as a strong customer fit with attractive real estate opportunities, but plans a measured rollout of only a handful of stores initially. Five Below raised its full-year sales guidance but kept its 2026 target of about 150 net new stores, prioritizing execution quality and site selection over faster expansion.
