Foresight Enterprise VCT plc has appointed James Barnes as a non-executive director effective 1 August 2026. The appointment follows the retirement of Michael Gray at the company's AGM on 11 June 2026 and is part of the board's succession planning. James Barnes began his financial services career in 1983 and later served as CEO of Dobbies Garden Centres from 1994, leading its flotation in 1997 and sale to Tesco in 2007. He will join the Audit, Management Engagement and Remuneration, and Nomination Committees. Kavita Patel has succeeded Michael Gray as Chair, providing continuity after nearly three years on the board.
