Foresight Enterprise VCT plc has appointed James Barnes as a non-executive director effective 1 August 2026. The appointment follows the retirement of Michael Gray at the company's AGM on 11 June 2026 and is part of the board's succession planning. James Barnes began his financial services career in 1983 and later served as CEO of Dobbies Garden Centres, leading its flotation and sale to Tesco. He will join the audit, management engagement and remuneration, and nomination committees. The company also confirmed that Kavita Patel has succeeded Michael Gray as chair.
