Foshan Electrical and Lighting Co LtdCompany forecasts first-half net profit down 62.61%-72.17% year-on-year due to weak demand, rising costs, and yuan appreciation.

Foshan Electrical and Lighting has released its 2026 half-year performance forecast, estimating net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company for the first half at 32 million to 43 million yuan, a year-on-year decline of 62.61% to 72.17%. Net profit after deducting non-recurring items is expected to be 16 million to 24 million yuan, down 77.37% to 84.92% year-on-year. The company said the decline was mainly due to the impact of the global macroeconomic environment and the real estate market adjustment, which put pressure on overall demand in the lighting industry. At the same time, sharp rises in the prices of raw materials such as non-ferrous metals, electronic components, and plastic parts pushed up manufacturing costs, while intense market competition prevented product prices from rising in tandem, leading to a year-on-year decline in overall gross margin. In addition, the appreciation of the yuan against the US dollar also had an adverse impact on profits.
