NVIDIA CorporationImpact on stocks 2
NVIDIA CorporationInvestor Gary Black of The Future Fund LLC argued that investors are overpaying for SpaceX shares following its blockbuster IPO earlier this month, which saw the stock surge past $200 per share. Black said investors should not be paying 150 times 2026 EV/EBITDA for a business expected to show long-term revenue growth of 35 to 40 percent per year, and compared it to NVIDIA, which trades at 19 times calendar year 2026 EV/EBITDA with expected long-term revenue growth of 10 to 15 percent annually. Economist Mohamed El-Erian noted that investors who bought at the IPO were up 23 percent while those who bought at the high were down almost 25 percent, as $400 billion was wiped from SpaceX's valuation. Economist Peter Schiff added that Elon Musk had lost roughly $150 billion on paper, equivalent to Warren Buffett's net worth, though Musk remains the world's only trillionaire.
