Gentherm IncQ2 earnings beat, raised guidance, and $400M buyback announced
Gentherm surged about 20.3% on Thursday after reporting second-quarter results that beat analyst expectations and raising its full-year guidance. The thermal management company posted adjusted earnings per share of $0.75, topping the consensus estimate of $0.64, while revenue came in at $416.2 million, up 11% year over year and ahead of the $392.15 million estimate, marking a record quarter driven by growth in its automotive segment. Net income rose to $4.4 million from $0.5 million a year earlier, though operating income declined to $10.7 million from $24 million and gross margin slipped to 23.2% from 23.9%. Gentherm raised its 2026 outlook, now expecting revenue at a midpoint of about $1.6 billion and adjusted EBITDA at a midpoint of around $192.5 million, and also announced a new $400 million share repurchase program.
