GitLab has released version 19.2 of its DevSecOps platform, introducing agentic automation features designed to manage the growing volume of code, dependencies, and changes generated by AI. Dependency Scanning Auto-Remediation, now in public beta, automatically opens merge requests with fixes for vulnerable dependencies and iterates to resolve any breaking changes, while Security Review Flow, also in public beta, detects logic flaws such as business-logic errors and race conditions that pattern-based scanners miss. GitLab Duo CLI is now generally available, giving developers access to agents and multi-step agentic flows directly in the terminal with full project context. Custom Flows, now generally available, let teams build agentic automations triggered by GitLab events, and new controls include an AI Audit Event Report in beta, group-level custom instructions for code review, and MCP access controls to govern agent execution.
