Globe Life IncRaised 2026 EPS guidance and increased share buyback plan, signaling strong financial performance and shareholder returns.

Globe Life raised its full-year 2026 net operating earnings per share guidance to a range of $15.55 to $15.95 and increased its planned share repurchases to between $670 million and $700 million. The updated outlook, provided during the company's second-quarter earnings call, compares with the prior quarter's EPS range of $15.40 to $15.90 and a previous buyback target of $560 million to $610 million. Co-Chairman and Co-CEO Frank Svoboda said total premium revenue growth is expected to be 6.5% to 7% for the year, with life premium revenue growing 2.5% to 3% and health premium revenue growing 14% to 16%. Executive VP and CFO Thomas Kalmbach noted the guidance reflects potential remeasurement gains of $110 million to $130 million from third-quarter assumption updates, and he anticipates third-quarter life underwriting margin will be in the range of 52% to 53% of premium. During the second quarter, the company repurchased about 1.1 million shares for $175 million, and management indicated the higher buyback pace is supported by increased parent liquidity, including an expansion of a term loan from $250 million to $450 million.
