Alphabet and Tesla together lost roughly half a trillion dollars in market value this week, while the companies that supply their artificial-intelligence build-out posted double-digit gains. Tesla lost 18% and roughly $250 billion after earnings missed badly and operating margin shrank to 1.4% from 4.1% a year earlier. On the winning side, a basket of memory makers, server builders, and data-center landlords rose an average of 11%, with Supermicro Computer up 25% on more than $60 billion in new orders and Digital Realty up nearly 15% on a record leasing backlog. Nvidia added about $100 billion in market value, roughly matching the combined losses of Microsoft and Apple, while the broader S&P 500 finished the week nearly flat as roughly $880 billion left the Magnificent Seven and the rest of the index gained about $165 billion.
