Google outlined a 13 billion euros, roughly $15.13 billion, investment to expand its AI-focused infrastructure in Finland over two years, funding digital infrastructure, clean energy and local partnerships to support rising demand for Search, Maps and Gemini. The company described the plan as its largest single European investment. The package includes a 22-year agreement supporting the Loviisa nuclear plant's life extension, new onshore wind capacity and a 94-megawatt battery system. Google said it will also fund forest and wetland restoration, along with recreational trails, public saunas and fishing piers near its sites, and highlighted Hamina, where its operations supported more than 600 Finnish suppliers from 2023 to 2025. Alphabet shares were trading lower in Wednesday's premarket session, with S&P 500 futures down 0.2%.
