GS Yuasa Corporation announced on the 5th that it has raised its consolidated net profit forecast for the fiscal year ending March 2027 to 39.5 billion yen, down 5.6 percent year-on-year, from the previous forecast of 36 billion yen. In addition to steady performance in the automotive lead-acid battery business, the weaker yen is boosting earnings. The revenue forecast was raised to 680 billion yen, up 11.7 percent, and the operating profit forecast was raised to 63 billion yen, up 4.7 percent. However, the revised net profit forecast fell short of the average analyst estimate of 41.1 billion yen compiled by IBES from 10 analysts.
