Hainan Airlines Holding disclosed its 2026 semi-annual report. In the first half, it achieved operating revenue of 35.517 billion yuan, up 7.36 percent year on year. Net profit attributable to the parent company was 270 million yuan, up 374.43 percent year on year. Net profit attributable to the parent company after deducting non-recurring items was 29.207 million yuan, up 155.97 percent year on year. The company said that in the face of upward pressure on aviation fuel costs, it continued to advance refined management, optimized its route network layout, and with the addition of exchange gains, achieved a profit in the first half. Non-recurring gains and losses in the first half totaled 241 million yuan, mainly from the reversal of impairment provisions on receivables, gains or losses on disposal of non-current assets, and government subsidies. Affected by exchange rate fluctuations, the company recognized exchange gains of 1.882 billion yuan, driving a significant improvement in financial expenses. Period expenses were 1.708 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.655 billion yuan, and the period expense ratio was 4.81 percent, down 5.36 percentage points from the same period last year.
