Hana Microelectronics Public Company LimitedKGI maintains sell rating and target price of 28 baht, viewing recovery as priced in.
KGI Securities Thailand expects HANA's core business profit in the second quarter of 2026 to reach 189 million baht, up 24 percent from the same period last year and recovering from a loss of 12 million baht in the previous quarter. This is supported by improved gross margins and lower SG&A expenses, as there are no provisions for doubtful debts and no inventory write-downs. Meanwhile, sales are expected to remain flat at 157 million US dollars. Memory demand remains strong due to AI adoption, with SK Hynix, one of the three major memory manufacturers, posting a record high profit in the second quarter of 2026 and closing long-term deals with 10 key customers, reflecting tight supply. This aligns with KGI Taiwan's view that higher memory prices will pressure global PC and smartphone shipments to decline by 10 to 15 percent in the second half of 2026 and by 11 to 12 percent for the full year 2026. HANA is expected to start recognizing revenue from AI-related projects in the second half of 2026, led by cooling solutions for HBM and GPU devices, high-density circuit board testing for data transmission, and SiC solid-state transformer equipment. However, KGI Securities Thailand maintains a sell recommendation and a year-end 2026 target price of 28.00 baht, viewing that both earnings estimates and the share price have already priced in recovery expectations.
