Hong Kong has been selected as the exclusive Asian host city for the Middle East's flagship technology event LEAP East from 2027 to 2029. The announcement was made during the first Asian edition of LEAP East, held in Hong Kong from July 8 to 10, which attracted over 25,000 participants, with non-local attendees accounting for 55 percent. The Hong Kong Tourism Board and event organizer Tahaluf have formed a strategic partnership to secure the event's exclusive Asian presence in Hong Kong for the next three years. Tahaluf CEO Mike Champion described Hong Kong as a world-class MICE and travel destination and an ideal springboard for Middle Eastern tech companies to expand into the Asia-Pacific market. The deal adds LEAP East to a roster of major tech events in Hong Kong, including Consensus Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Web3 Festival, reinforcing the city's status as an international innovation and technology hub.
