Chengdu Huasen Aorui Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a controlling subsidiary of Chongqing Huasen Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., has received a drug clinical trial approval notice issued by the National Medical Products Administration for its Class 1.1 new drug ORIC-1327 phosphate eye drops, agreeing to the commencement of clinical trials. The product has been approved in six specifications, with indications for glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It is a selective small molecule inhibitor independently developed by Huasen Aorui with fully owned intellectual property rights. Preclinical studies have demonstrated significant intraocular pressure-lowering effects and good ocular safety in New Zealand rabbits and cynomolgus monkeys. This is the second Class 1.1 new drug project of Huasen Aorui to receive clinical approval. To date, Huasen Aorui and Chongqing Huasen Yingnuo Biotechnology Co., Ltd. have collectively obtained clinical trial approvals for three Class 1.1 new drug projects. The company cautions that drug development from clinical trials to approved production is affected by multiple factors, and there is uncertainty in the progress and research results, with no guarantee that the product will ultimately be approved for market launch.
